Welcome to Shiven Rovers A.F.C

Shiven Rovers A.F.C Mission Statement

To achieve Excellence through Sport.

To Grow, Develop and Go Forward.

Founded in the Spring of 1972, Shiven Rovers has become an integral part of not only soccer in the area but the community as a whole. We first joined the Galway District League in 1974 for a short period before then joining the Roscommon & District League 2 years later.

Since that time, the club has gone from strength to strength both in performances on the field and in the development of first class facilities at our grounds in Newbridge, Co. Galway.

The existing grounds were purchased in 1996 as an undeveloped four acre site. Today we are proud to say it has become one of the best soccer facilities in a rural community. We have developed a Clubhouse, Astro Turf Pitches, a Gym and a Function Room and we continue to strive to make improvements each and every year. Learn more about the history of the club here.
