Roscommon Utd 2-4 Shiven B.
Home game for Roscommon Utd moved to Killyan.
Shiven started well and should have gone 1-0 up when Enda Naughton dispossessed the centre back and ran through on goal, but dragged his shot wide. From the next attack Roscommon were awarded a penalty after Shiven goalkeeper Chris Doran was harshly adjudged to have taken the striker before the ball. Roscommon duly scored and went one up from the penalty. As the half progressed, Shiven dug deep and deservedly equalised through Luke Delaney. Shortly after this equaliser, Shiven were awarded a penalty after that man Luke Delaney was fouled, and Shamie O’Kelly made no mistake from the spot. Roscommon then forced themselves back into the game, and following a period of sustained pressure, equalised before half time.
Roscommon started the second half strongly and Shiven defied them well, with Chris Doran making 4 or 5 top class saves. The home team grew more into the game as it went on, and went 3-2 when Delaney scored his second of the game. To cap it all off, with 10 minutes left, Enda Naughton got his reward for all his hard work with a fine finish. Thus Shiven edge out their close mid-table rivals
